Duties and Authorities of the President's Office

The primary duties of the President's Office include determining the university's overall policy, leading its academic, research, administrative-financial, cultural, public, and international relations affairs, ensuring coordination among all units, and supervising their proper execution.
The list of duties and authorities for this office is as follows:

  1. Supervising the proper execution of academic, research, cultural, student, administrative, financial, developmental, and scientific service affairs, as well as all internal and international relations of the university; coordinating various units; and reporting to competent authorities.

  2. Defining the university's executive policy within the framework of approved scientific, academic, and research policies.

  3. Directing the cultural, academic, research, administrative, financial, and developmental activities of the university.

  4. Submitting the university's annual performance report to the Board of Trustees.

  5. Supervising the proper execution of the university's ongoing activities, investigating potential irregularities and violations, and referring them to the competent authorities.

  6. Assuming responsibility for the university's financial and administrative affairs within the framework of approved regulations.

  7. Appointing and dismissing members of the Executive Board, deans of faculties, heads of institutes and affiliated units, and heads of academic departments.

  8. Implementing resolutions, regulations, and directives issued by the Ministry.

  9. Preparing and proposing policies, objectives, and strategies for submission to the Board of Trustees.

  10. Proposing the establishment, expansion, dissolution, or merger of units to the University Council.

  11. Proposing academic collaborations with other domestic and international educational or research institutions to the University Council.

  12. Serving as the legal representative of the university before all competent authorities.

  13. Supervising disciplinary matters concerning faculty, students, and staff, within the framework of the relevant rules and regulations.
