In a valuable initiative to preserve and promote the heritage of Kurdish music, the University of Kurdistan and Maestro Arsalan Kamkar, one of Iran's most prominent musical figures, have signed a memorandum of understanding. This collaboration will focus on the documentation, research, and publication of the great artist's musical works.
University of Kurdistan and Maestro Arsalan Kamkar Sign Cooperation Agreement

According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Kurdistan, a cooperation agreement was signed between the university and Maestro Arsalan Kamkar, in line with the university's social responsibilities and with the aim of strengthening the bond between academic and artistic elites.
The agreement, initiated by the Kurdistan Studies Institute, centers on the printing, publication, and scholarly documentation of the musical scores of Maestro Arsalan Kamkar's Kurdish and other musical compositions, as well as on research and education in the field of Kurdish music.
During the signing ceremony, the President of the University of Kurdistan emphasized the unparalleled role of the esteemed Kamkar family in the elevation of Iranian culture and art, describing this collaboration as a successful model of the university's engagement with the artistic community. He stated that the family's works are among the most important resources for the study of Kurdish music.
This strategic partnership is considered a valuable step toward strengthening Kurdistan studies and enhancing the status of academic research in Kurdish music. It is hoped that it will contribute to the preservation and transmission of this precious heritage to future generations.
