The University of Kurdistan hosted a strategic meeting with distinguished scholars and researchers to launch the "Encyclopedia of Kurdistan Studies" project.
University of Kurdistan Becomes the Hub for Compiling a Comprehensive Reference on Kurdish Studies

According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Kurdistan, the macro-project for the "Compilation of the Encyclopedia of Kurdistan Studies" has officially entered its executive phase following a meeting attended by the university president, the vice president for research, and a group of academic and cultural elites.
Dr. Adel Si-o-Se-Marde, President of the University of Kurdistan, outlined the project's vision, stating, "In the digital age, providing a comprehensive and scholarly platform to represent research related to Kurdistan is a necessity. This encyclopedia will serve as an authoritative source for researchers and will strengthen the bond between the university and the community."
Subsequently, Dr. Bahman Bahramnejad, the Vice President for Research and Technology, declared his full support, saying, "The compilation of this encyclopedia can serve as a model for systematic documentation in the field of Kurdish studies, and we expect that through the collaboration of experts, an enduring legacy will be created."
Dr. Yadgar Karimi, Head of the Kurdistan Studies Institute, described the project's executive and scientific details, defining it as more than just a research project. He emphasized, "This encyclopedia represents a cultural and civilizational mission to document and preserve the intellectual heritage of the Kurds in a scholarly and referential format."
The meeting concluded with constructive dialogue among the attendees and the presentation of practical suggestions for finalizing the structure and compilation guidelines. It was decided that the project's operational process will commence in the near future.
